Worship Ministry

Worship at CBC is Christ-oriented, personally encouraging and fun!  We attempt to meet the congregational needs of corporately ascribing worth to the Lord, the gathering together of the body of Christ and an entry point for visitors.

For most churches, blending these needs makes our calling a tad touchy; everyone has their opinion of what worship should be.  So we are very intentional as a body of Christ to be above reproach in scriptural integrity as well as willing to use any tool available to us to meet the church's worship needs.  No rules, just Christ!

Yes, we blend worship styles, but we don't water down a thing!  In our music, you may sing and hear with us classical, southern gospel and contemporary music back-to-back.  Accompaniment may be programmed, an A/V presentation, organ, piano, guitar & drums; all in a single service.

We also love for as many who are able to participate in worship.  We believe that "SPECIALS" are by the congregation; that's what God is especially enjoying!  Our choirs, praise teams, etc. are all open to believers who have a musical offering to give the Lord.  We call solos and other pieces of music played or sung by a representative of the congregation an "Offering in Song."  That offering is lifted up to the Lord first, then as an encouragement to the body of Christ.

You'll hear us clap for each other a lot.  Don't be shocked!  We remind each other regularly that it's about the Lord, not us.  But we clap as a responsive expression of thanksgiving to God.  We also clap to encourage one of our own to worship the Lord.
